I studied at discreet training center on 3ds max 5 before it became autodesk and got my certificates and then I worked @ Articad for 9 years creating low poly models for interior design layouts for the program where I taught my self Photoshop. I then left Articad and my creativity and max skills for 3 years , only recently have I relay gotten back in to 3ds max and have taught my self 3d-coat ,inventor (Still have a lot to learn) .
My duties included, but were not limited to:
• Editing images or plans in photoshop for 3D modelling
• Creating the 3d models while keeping the poly count
low and using smoothing groups.
• Texturing 3d models.
• Export model for use in Articad Software.
• Use ultra edit to script model into Articad to tell
the unit what size it must be or if the size can be
adjustable and what textures it must use.
• Use of ultra edit to modify/update old units in Articad.
• Take textures and make them tileble using Photoshop.
• Creating new textures using Photoshop.
• Research unit dimensions and textures if provided
with little to no information.
• Items I created was office chairs, sofas, tv's, game console,
speakers, chopping boards, cabinets, beds, bath's, showers, toilets, taps, basin's, sinks,
tumble dryer, washing machine, fridge & freezers, laptop, fire places, sliding doors,
Dental chairs, dental equipment. Miscellaneous items like paintings, cups, curtains, food,
Plants & so on the list go's.
My duties included, but were not limited to:
• Convert old part drawings to CAD for use with plasma cutter.
• Create new CAD drawings for use with plasma cutter.
• Nest old and new drawings to be used on plasma cutter.
• Generating parts list for use with stock and pricing.
• Fixing, editing or updating CAD plans for structural and civil drawings.
• Create low to high detail 3d models of structures.
• Create textures to be used with 3d models.
• Setting up 3d models and textures for single or multiple renders.
• Create documentation for installation, maintenance.
